Remembering Faces

I've always been inclined to remembering faces (and names for some cases) - which is a blessing I know - so much so I've been labelled the walking database.

Some colleagues told me about a Face Memory test on the BBC site, so I was naturally curious to see if I would be able to fare well in it.  There is a method in my ability to remember faces and names since I often do it by association, so I wasn't sure if I could remember as well with faces I'd not seen before.

So how the test works is, you are shown two groups of 12 photos and then you are shown 48 photos, which may fit in group 1, group 2 or neither.

I took it twice, just to see if I could beat myself, LOL, and these are the results.

First Attempt's Results

Second Attempt's Results

So I am good at remembering if I'd seen a person but not quite where, though it seems I remembered better the second time I did it. Nonetheless, it's cool that I was able to remember NOT seeing someone since I scored full marks both times there. Ha ha!

If you are interested in exercising your memory skills, here's the link to this delightfully novel test: BBC Science Face Memory Test
