Every year I face this, spending hours at the market for last minute shopping for things and fresh meat that Mum needs to cook the Eid meal. This year it was five hours before I got home, two hours at the wet market which was uber crowded! Seems everyone had the same idea too! If that was not enough, it was also a Saturday so the crowd probably doubled the usual Saturday clientele the market gets. The line for the halal beef, mutton and chicken was exceedingly long!
We spent the remaining time at the ever popular supermarket, Sheng Siong and its vicinity. It was rather busy there too!
Mum even managed to shop for her favourite fake flowers too.
Suffice to say that I was dead beat when I got home and only managed to help in the kitchen after iftar. Thereafter it was hours more of cut, cut, cut; snip, snip, snip, of vegetables and meat!

wow, that DOES look rather crowded, no wonder it took you five hours to get all the shopping done.
