Allegiant by Veronica Roth
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I had invested so much love and admiration into Tobias and Tris, especially the latter, for their strength and wisdom in such a difficult world that they lived in. Although that strength and wisdom faltered on and off, they remained true warriors and leaders till the end.
I have never understood how some authors could write such difficult conclusions for their lead protagonists and this is no exception. Sometimes it seems that the readers are more protective of them and only want to see them have a happy end. This did not have the HEA I had so desperately hoped and which Tris and Tobias so desperately deserved. Although I understand the need for that end and and impact that it gave, I cannot help but feel that it could have easily ended in another way. Feeling rather cheated and heartbroken now...
